In this section of our website we want to provide you with a practical and complete guide of Mallorca‘s beaches. The largest of the “Baleares” has 262 paradisiacal beaches, some of them with infinite sand and crystal-clear water, and others that are small and solitary, where you will enjoy more intimacy.
Many of Mallorca‘s beaches are, in fact, ranked among the best in the world. In 2023, for example, Playa de Muro is one of the Spanish beaches that has made it into the rankings of the 25 best beaches in Europe and the 25 best beaches in the world in the “Best of the Best by Travellers’ Choice (Tripadvisor)” awards. That’s quite something!
Although you must realize that each and every one of the beaches and coves of Mallorca are authentic natural paradises where you will enjoy the typical fauna and flora of the Mediterranean.
If there is one thing that distinguishes Mallorca’s beaches and coves is its diversity, either because of the surroundings where they are located and because you may enjoy many of them with all the comforts offered by their facilities or, on the other hand, isolate yourself in a secluded cove from the daily routine you are used to.
You will have the opportunity to relax and sunbathe in a hammock, practice many water sports, enjoy a cocktail in one of the beach bars or drop the anchor of one of the available charter boats and admire the views of a sunset from the sea.
Whether you are traveling alone, as a couple or on a family trip, in Mallorca you will find a beach that suits your preferences and needs. They are obviously the main attraction and the reason why every year thousands of people choose this Mediterranean island as their destination. And no wonder!
To help you get a better understanding, we would like to provide you with this Mallorca’s beach guide, in which you will find a detailed description of each beach with its main specifications, available services, type of beach (sand and/or rocks) and its occupancy during the summer months.
In addition, you will also find a detailed description of how to get there by car, rental car or boat; where to eat nearby, what to do during the day (if you want to do more than just lie under the sun and swim! and the hotels we recommend in the area where the beach is located.
Click on the different search filters and the suggestions will appear. All you have to worry about is choosing which beach or cove you want to go to!
If this is the first time you are traveling to Mallorca you should know that not all the beaches on the island have the same facilities and comforts, as many of them are wild coves that are difficult to reach on foot or by car.
This information is reflected in each of the beaches that you can consult in this guide, where we specify whether or not the beach has the following services:
In addition, you can use the filter system that you will find in our Mallorca’s beaches and coves guide to select the services that are essential for you and your family, or choose the “No services” option if you just want to enjoy a day at the beach in a wild and virgin environment, away from the outside world.
In Mallorca, and in the whole Balearic Islands, care and respect for nature is essential, so it’ s very important that you use the litter bins or that you carry your rubbish with you. It is everyone’s duty to keep our beaches clean and beautiful!
Among the 262 beaches and secret coves of the island, you can get an idea of how difficult it is for us to choose just a few. That’s why in this guide we show you all of them.
But as we know that your trip to Mallorca is limited to a few days, you probably won’t have time to visit them all. We tell you which are, in our opinion, three of the best beaches and coves in Mallorca, so that you can include some of the good ones along your holiday route.
