Andreu Genestra
Many of you may have been surprised not to find Andreu Genestra Restaurant among the award winners, or you may think that our article on Michelin-starred restaurants in Mallorca is out of date.
The renowned Mallorcan chef Andreu Genestra was awarded a Michelin Star at the time, but has now moved his restaurant to the Zoëtry Hotel in Llucmajor. This, according to the Michelin Guide, means that the new location does not automatically retain its previous award, so its new establishment will have to undergo a new evaluation by the Guide’s experts. Thus, we will have to wait until the next Michelin awards ceremony to find out if the restaurant manages to regain the prestigious distinction and re-enter the ranking. We guarantee he deserves it!
